Visitor Guidelines
Plan your visit
- Please do not touch the art.
- Food and drink are not permitted in the galleries.
- Backpacks and other bulky items are not allowed in the galleries. Please leave with Museum Associates.
- Sketching is permitted - pencil and colored pencil only.
- A wheelchair is available on a first come first served basis.
- OSU is a tobacco-free campus which applies to all university buildings and grounds including the OSU Museum of Art. Smoking is not allowed in the museum and surrounding walkways, sidewalks, and parking areas.
- PLEASE NOTE: Some works in the museum contain content or ideas of an adult nature. If you are visiting with small children, feel free to ask our Museum Associates for further information about adult content in the galleries.
Photography
- No flash photography.
- Feel free to text, take photos and tweet about your visit. When posting your photos, please tag them #osuma so we’ll see them too!

- Two accessible parking spaces are located in front of the museum.
- FREE 90-minute parking is available on Husband Street.
- A bike rack is located next to the entrance ramp.
- Mobility
- Front and rear entrances are wheelchair accessible.
- A wheelchair is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Portable stools and gallery seating are located throughout the museum.
- Hearing
- Assisted listening devices are available.
- OSU provides sign language interpretation for students upon request.
- Vision
- The museum provides large print exhibition labels.
- Magnifying glasses are available.
- Families with Children
- Ramps are located at the front entrance for stroller access.
- Changing tables are located in bathrooms.
- We offer a number of adaptive art making tools for people of all ages.
