Oklahoma and Beyond
Oklahoma and Beyond: Selections from the George R. Kravis II Collection
February 28, 2017 – June 21, 2017
Including more than 40 works, this exhibition looked at private art collecting through history and the eyes of Tulsa collector George R. Kravis II. While Kravis’s design collection is nationally renowned, his fine art collection has rarely been exhibited. The selection of paintings, works on paper, sculpture, and furniture was accompanied by pairings of the collector’s comments and anecdotes about his collection with discussions on the collecting and the critical reception of modern and contemporary art.
